Mode of Selection:
The selection shall be made through Written Test (to be held in Chennai only) and Personal Interview of the short listed candidates. The written test is scheduled on 05.08.2012.

CMRL SPONSORED PG DIPLOMA COURSE IN “METRO RAIL TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT” AT IIT MADRAS

Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL), a Joint Venture company with equity participation from Govt. of India and Govt. of Tamil Nadu has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the Chennai Metro Rail Project.

Applications are invited from dynamic and result oriented Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Architecture, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics &
Communication Engineering), for the CMRL sponsored PG Diploma Course in “Metro Rail Technology and Management”.

PG Diploma Course: 13 Seats

Age: Not more than 28 years as on 31-07-2012 (relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST).

Educational Qualification: First-class graduates with minimum aggregate average of 70% marks (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Architecture from a recognized University/Institute are eligible to apply. The candidates should have qualified in GATE 2011 or 2012. Final year students who will secure the eligible degree before the commencement of the course can also apply.

Stipend: For the one year course, CMRL will pay the candidates a stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month and also the necessary sponsorship and tuition fees to IIT Madras.
